So long Slovenia! Last night I met up and planned the next few days with Tom who I met in Venice. We are both following a similar path around the eastern countries do decided to go to Croatia together and check out the Plitvice Lakes national park.
We got up super early (for us) and caught an early train to Zagrab in Croatia. We met 4 germans who only had a few hours in the city too so all 6 of us ended up wandering around together before grabbing a beer and then jumping on our 4.5 hour bus to Zadar on the West coast.
about 3 hours into our bus ride we stopped for a break at a strange service station. The inside had a bunch of stuffed Bears and other assorted animals. A litter of puppies were fighting over something out the front and out the back were some bears locked in an enclosure… ok Croatia, whatever.
Once in Zadar we went out for a few drinks with some German girls from our hostel, checked out the Sea organ and saw a shabby looking Santa Clause dressed in shorts wandering the streets… ok Croatia, yep.
This photo was taken out of the bus window about 10 minutes out of Zadar. The scenery was spectacular!
