Day-100

Today was a bit of a milestone but I wasn’t sure exactly what to do for this monuments occasion. Have a huge party? Get obnoxiously drunk? Do something expensively epic? But when I woke up this morning it dawned on me. Today I would do absolutely sweet fuck all.

So today I simply left my hostel with no plans in mind. I had some breakfast at a cafe and then had a walk along the port. I came across a ferry that was unloading cars and looked ready to board so I asked the nearby ticket inspector for a ticket and boarded a ferry to an unknown location apparently only half an hour away.

I ended up on the nearby island of Ugljan. After a 30 min walk along the only road I came across a tiny pebble beach. I set about skimming a billion rocks and then started a conversation with the only other person on the beach, a girl who turned out to be from Italy and living in London. So for the rest of the day we chilled out then had some pretty decent lunch/dinner and had a few beers before getting the ferry back to the mainland.

Back in Zadar I went and watched the sun set at the Sea Organ and took this photo at the LED Solar Light installation.

All in all it was a pretty chilled out day and just what I needed after 100 days of travels. A holiday from my holiday. Believe it or not, but travelling is actually quite exhausting after a while. Especially travelling independently and solo.
