Day-108

Wow, Belgrade is amazing!

After a tonne of rakija, some live traditional serbian folk music in tiny smokey bars, a floating barge/club and stumbling back to my hostel with some serbian locals last night I unsurprisingly slept pretty late today.

I dealt with my hangover as best I could with a huge Serbian lunch and some electrolytes before taking a massive walk along the river to Zemun. On the way I came across and explored and old abandoned minigolf course and a boat shed. In Zemun I climbed the Zemun Tower and then jumped on a bus back to town.

As the sun was setting I took a walk along the river on the opposite side to where the floating clubs are. On this side of the river there were homeless people sheltering under some upturned Barges and drinking rakija, some abandoned rusting shells of boats, and I am pretty sure I stumbled into a leper colony at some point. All around the area there are amazing pieces of street art, and I am positive there are some giant Blu pieces around.

Also all of the locals I have met so far are extremely friendly and helpful, probably the most friendly people I have come across in Europe yet. Belgrade is definitely in the running for being my favourite European city.
