Today I took a walk to see the Perama Caves in the next village over from Ioannina which are the biggest in the Bulkan region. The cave was pretty impressive, one room was pretty massive and some of the stalactites and stalagmites were named according to what they resemble as per every other cave I have ever been in.
In the cave I met Nick and his Girlfriend (who’s name I could not pronounce let alone spell). They have been travelling in this huge old Army van from the Netherlands all the way down to Greece and running it totally on Canola oil. They were kind enough to Drive me back to Ioannina.
When I jumped out of their van at a red light however the strap on my beloved Canon 60D snapped and smashed on the road. The battery housing broke away, and the battery slid across the road. The camera landed right on the lens but luckily not on the glass. Fortunately there does not seem to be any problems with it at the moment. Hopefully I wont have to cash in my Travel insurance for a second time.
