Today I finally said my goodbyes to the good guys, gals and beagle at David Hasslehostel. I finally managed to escape the clutches of Budapest and get on a bus to Vienna, but only barely.
I was on my way to catch my bus and after only 2 metro stops the train came to a halt, the carriages started filling with smoke and everyone had to evacuate the train station. Im not too sure what had happened exactly but above ground there were fire trucks speeding around and I started to wonder if this was a sign that I should turn around and stay in Budapest another night. but just as I was mulling over my options a taxi pulled up right in front of which got me to the bus just in time.
Before I left Budapest this evening I went back to a park we stopped at the day before on the beer bike. By the time we got to the park yesterday we were all a little wasted so I didn’t get to have a good look around so I went and had some mulled wine and take some photos.
Once in Vienna I had time to check out the Christmas Market before it closed and unsurprisingly bumped into two people I had met during my stay in Budapest.
