We decided we needed to escape Varadero today. So we took the cleanest, newest bus in cuba from the most organised, newest and cleanest bus station to Havana. We are returning to Havana next week for 8 days so we wanted to continue on to the countryside in west called Vinales. Unfortunately the bus was a 3 hour wait and full, so we managed to find another couple wanting to go to Vinales and negotiated a taxi for the 2.5 hour trip for the 4 of us.
Vinales is famous for its dramatic flat plains filled with tobacco farms and surrounded by flat topped mountains. We took a walk out of town after checking in and found some interesting little tobacco farms to watch the sun set and hang out with these dope farm animals.
