Day-230

Cuba might have the Yank Tanks, but Panama has the Red Devils. These public busses in Panama are individually owned and operated so the drivers compete for customers by pimping out their american style school busses with chrome, mags, paint jobs, graphics, lights, strobes, sound systems, horns, stickers and anything else they can think of.

However there is now a Government owned Metro Bus company which is slowly phasing out these awesome old busses with new comfortable, air-conditioned busses so these may not be around for too much longer.

Most busses I have seen tend to follow similar strange design trends. There is always something Panamanian airbrushed above the front window, then something hollywood inspired across the top of the glass with the busses name sprawled underneath is SICK lettering. The hood is always peppered with sexy girls, cartoon characters, video game characters and or epic wolf/indian scenes. Most times the bullbar has a few phrases accompanied by more characters, and they ALWAYS have some sort of religious scene painted on the back of the bus.
