Out of the 18 of us surprisingly only 5 had booked in for the longer 4 night, 5 day package so today most of our group went back to civilisation. Before they left I convinced Rambo to take us for a spot of piranha fishing from the pier directly out the front of the lodge. Rambo tossed in a line with some raw beef on the end, splashed the pole in the water for 2 seconds and pulled in a big chomping piranha literally with in 5 seconds! We were shocked that the place where everyone had been swimming had been home to huge piranha. Rambo also demonstrated how to use a piranha to trim plants in the garden.
Before the others left they towed the remaining 5 of us to the lake in a small row boat so we spent the day rowing around the lake and rowing up some smaller rivers chasing basking caymans and electric eels.
After nightfall we went for a 3 hour jungle walk. Rambo spotted giant grasshoppers, bats, some crazy spiders, slugs, a rare sleeping bird, millipedes, scorpions, frogs and a helicopter dragonfly.
