Last night Bridget picked me up from the Toronto Airport when I finally arrived. Bridget and I met in Lisbon way at the start of this trip 263 days ago and we are crashing with one of her friends in Toronto for a few days before heading to Montreal. We went out for some drinks last night and then today Bridget played tour guide for a few hours before heading out to a family function for the night. It was a pretty rainy and miserable day in Toronto and there are still remnants of snow scattered about the nooks and crannies of the city, but it wasnt as cold as it had been the past few weeks apparently.
Because of the miserable day we used the series of heated tunnels which are built below the city called “the Path” which can pretty much get you anywhere you need to go without having to brave the elements above. This tunnel system is the largest of its kind anywhere in the world at over 17 miles of store filled underground tunnels.
After Bridget left for the night I set about running some errands and then I FINALLY FOUND A BOTA BAG! After almost 4 months of searching South America where I was sure I would find one, I found a bota bag in the second hiking/camping store I found in Toronto! HAZAA!
