Christy being the good egg that she is let me crash in her huge fluffy pillow castle of a bed last night while she took the couch, its the best sleep I have had in a long time and ended up sleeping in until almost noon. I still managed to make it downtown to do a free walking tour of the freedom trail, even after being stopped by a guy asking if I like dead people, and a woman who loved the colour of my beard and dreads. People in Boston are super friendly.
This is the Massachusetts State House, which we were told on the tour that it had it’s 24 carat gold leaf roof painted black during world war 2 to prevent any bombers from targeting it if Boston ever came under attack. There seems to be a lot of gold stuff in Boston, something I never really expected.
I got along with a few canadians on the walking tour so we all went to mikes pastry to get a famous Boston cream pie and a cannoli before exploring Boston for a few more hours. I picked up a sim card, and then jumped on the extremely squeaky green line commuter rail to meet Christy at a friends gig (who all loved the Living End and were as surprised as I was that they never got as big as Green Day etc.). Fast forward about 10 hours later I found myself passed out on a Russian guys couch at around 5.30am…
