Today I successfully surfed after a short surfing lesson. Now when people ask me if I surf (a common question because of my dreads) I can tell them, “why yes, I certainly have surfed”.
Tonight I decided to take a break from the frat party going on at the camp and went down to the rocks to have a quiet beer and a swim. Somehow a few hours later I was eating the biggest steak dinner of my life, and drinking until the wee hours of the morning with some new mates.
There are some spectacular sunsets in Zarautz. This was taken as the sun was setting on the way back up the cliff. According to my Basque buddy Leire the point you can see near the sun is called the rat of Getaria because of its obvious rattish silhouette. I did minimal post production on this photo, these colours are all natural!
