Wow, talk about walking. I think I must have covered about 25km in porto today. My couch surfing host and I walked into the city centre (at least 5 km). Then I did the free walking tour, and bumped into some travellers who I met in Lisbon (another 5km), and after lunch I covered at least another 15 km just wondering the streets, exploring abandoned buildings, climbing the Clérigos Church tower, discovering Blues and Jazz clubs, walking along the river banks and over several bridges.
After all the walking my Couchsurfing hosts and I went out for Dinner and I finally had Francesinha, man that is a filling and satisfying meat sandwich! We played some Snooker with crazy portuguese rules and then we went to Casa da Música to see a pakistani band play which was really interesting, and thankfully seated. Also a couch surfing meet up was attended, locals were met, and cheap beer was drank. 50 cents for a .50L, 1 Euro for .50 and 1.50 Euro for .75! Mmmm, Beer.
