Only 300 days to go! Doing this project has me literally counting the days away which is both good and bad. On the one hand I know I still have 300 days of traveling too look forward to, but on the other I know I have already burned through 65 days. Im not sure if counting the days makes them go faster or slower but I’m sure I will know the answer later in my trip.
Another thing about this project is that whenever someone asks me how long I have been traveling for they are a bit surprised when I give them the exact number of days instead of the usual “2 months” or “6 weeks” answer which is a good conversation starter.
Anyways, today we hiked a mountain, drank a beer on the top, and then on the way back decided to explore this old abandoned building. We think it must have been an old grainery judging from the barrels, machinery and equipment left behind.
In the evening we polished off a bottle of whiskey we went to a piano concert and then ended up locked in a small bar with the owner and his mates drinking free whiskey until the wee hours of the morning. Europe just loves to give away booze it seems.
