I finally had time to actually look around Veliko Turnovo for a few hours before jumping on a bus back to Sofia. The city is really picturesque. There is a river which splits through the city at several different points and cliffs that appear to burst through the trees in every direction creating a really dramatic landscape. To top it off there is also a huge fortress to explore! I also said farewell to lovely Yana tonight by going out for the first sushi I have had in more than 4 months! Mmmmm, Sushi. Thanks for everything again Yana!
