Today I finished my stint in the Balkans. Other than my few weeks in Turkey I have been exploring the Balkans since Day 95. It really is a fascinating place. I have purposely left out a couple of Balkan countries (Montenegro, Romania and Kosovo) so I have an excuse to come back to this amazing area again in the future. I have met some amazing people from this area and can say without a doubt that some of the nicest people from my trip so far have been from the Balkan countries (Albania especially).
Before I left Belgrade I had time to check out the extensive military museum which I can highly recommend. I boarded a bus to Budapest and within an hour I had met up with a traveling buddy Jess who I have now bumped into in 3 different countries. We went out on the hostel bar crawl and went to a few different ruin bars which are really cool. I am planning to go back and check them out sometime during the day for a better look. First impressions of Budapest are awesome.
