Caving in Budapest! Today was a bit of a miserable rainy day in Budapest, so I planned to spend majority of it underground. My plan was to visit the Hospital in the rock, then the Cave church near the Liberty Statue, and finally finish the day with caving. Because of some soaked shoes I managed to complete just one out of the three, I did the caving which was awesome fun.
The caves are located on the edge of Budapest and takes two bus transfers to reach. The caving goes for about 2 and a half hours and costs $25 AUD. We took the difficult path each time so some of the gaps you need to crawl through are really really tight, and require some instructions and contorting to fit through. There were a few incidences of booties not fitting through gaps, but luckily there were other more booty friendly ways around to caves at certain points. Definitely something I highly recommend dong in Budapest.
