Day-208

This morning we did the tour of the Cigar factory we had booked the day before. As with the other tour we were unsurprisingly given wrong information and found out that we were not allowed to take photos despite being told the complete opposite, and that there was no English speaking guide as advertised.

Even so, the tour was still awesome. The guide was really nice, and we could understand most of it with my basic spanish. Also one of the workers noticed my middle name on my passport which is the same as her family name, so she insisted we were related and gave me her address so I could write to her.

Afterwards we negotiated a taxi to take us to our next destination instead of waiting the whole day for the bus. The taxi sped along wet, pothole filled roads at crazy bone shattering speeds and aquaplaned around trucks, horses and motorbikes. At one point I clocked his speedo close to 170km per hour on the freeway. He got us to Veradaro in almost half the time of the bus.
