Day-247

After our luggage got scented with vampire repelling garlic yesterday we spent half the day today attempting to rid our clothes, bags, towels, sleeping bags and everything else of the overpowering smell. Our attempted solution was rubbing lemons (which turned out to be limes) on our bags, airing out the sleeping bag and dumping everything else in the wash. After all this there is still a distinct smell of garlic lingering in our room. We also used the time to try and figure out a plan for crossing the notoriously risky border into Peru and come up with a loose itinerary.

We also took a walk around Cuenca to get some information on day trips to some Incan Ruins and a nearby national park, and check out the colonial architecture and flower markets but not long afterwards a storm rolled in and sent us back to the hostel.
