I have never felt so cold as I did today. I went to the Montreal Biodome (not the biosphere) where they have several artificial indoor habitats full of animals from around the world from the Amazon to the Arctic. I watched a bird trying to wash the poison off a poison frog for about 10 minutes in the amazon, then went to the canadian forest to watch the Porcupine fuddle about and the beavers sleeping, and finished in the arctic to watch the penguins splash about. Oh and this little guy, 10 points for whoever knows what he is called.
The weather was a little grey but holding at about 13 degrees when I arrived, but by the time I was ready to go 2 hours later it had dropped about 10 degrees, started raining and was windy as hell. My umbrella did diddly squat due to the sidewards ice cold rain so I had to make dashes for shelters all the way back to Braes. So now I am sitting here trying to decide which animal photo to use for todays photo….. WAIT, SCREW ANIMALS, IT JUST STARTED SNOWING!
Ok, i’m back. Playing in the snow somehow lead to going out for beers in the harsh harsh cold. We had a few beers with one of braes friends and a blizzard blew through while we were inside. Once it cleared and left a thin blanket of snow on everything and dropped to around -6 which is when we made a dash for a nearby bar which has a skate bowl inside called THR bar. Afterwards we had some pretty rank drunk pizza and then had to brave the elements to make it back to the bus. At one point I estimate my life meter dropped as low as 40 percent health, so I pretty much almost died.
