My mate Dave told me about this cool park in NYC called the Highline a few nights ago, but I hadn’t had a chance to check it out until today. The High line park is essentially a 1.5km long park which was built on an old freight train railway which was elevated above street level which sat unused by trains since the 1980’s.

The park is pretty freaking cool and a great example of repurposing old unused structures in urban environments. It still contains remnants of the old original railroad track and sections of the park even run through the middle of several buildings.
