Wow, Day 80 was an amazing (and exhausting) day and another extremely difficult photo to choose! I was originally planning on spending my last few days left in Spain by exploring Valencia. However after finding some amazing places that are do-able as day trips from Barcelona I decided to just stay for a few more nights to check out these incredible places instead.
In the morning I said my goodbyes to Abhi and then met up with my new russian friend Jenny.. Jen.. Evgeniya to go and explore the amazing mountain of Montserrat together. After arriving in the town checking out the cathedral, we decided to not take to elevator halfway to the top but to hike the 2 hours to the highest peak of Sant Jeroni at 1,236 meters.
The hike was spectacular and the views were amazing, arguably the best views of my trip so far (even better than Day 18). Evgeniya didn’t even get too annoyed every time “I stop to make picture” (always said in a russian accent). By the time we were ready to come down we were pretty tired and had sore feet sue to wearing cons and flippy floppies. So we decided to ride the elevator train thingy back down. And once back in town we lined up to touch some special statue in the church.
