Sigh, Nothing went my way today.
I totally failed at the day trip I was supposed to take today. I got up (somewhat) early and made my way to the bus station. The bus arrived and when I went to board with the other passengers the bus driver said no! I was really confused. I got out my phone to show him the stop I need to get to. he replied “No map”. So I tried to pronounce the bus stop and he said no again. I didn’t know what was going on. I asked for one ticket in spanish. No again. WTF? He motioned for me to get off the bus so I figured he was going to let the other passengers board and then help me, but nope, he just shut the door and drove off… I have no idea what the hell happened but it was definitely the right bus. I think maybe he was just a jerk.
So with my opportunity of a day trip gone I decided to check out Montjuic instead. On the way up I stopped to rest in a park with no one in sight. Got out my phone to check I was going the right direction and out of no where a clipboard was thrust into my lap and over my phone. It was a damn gypsie woman who had caught me off guard! She was trying to get me to sign some form for disabled people which was the worst fake petition form I had ever seen. I kept telling her I had no money for her fake petition form and pushing it away. She kept annoyingly persisting and putting it over my phone until I felt her hand under the clipboard trying to slip a note out of my wallet. Bitch! I stood up, threw her clipboard away and told her to fuck off.
Well the rest of the afternoon was ok, checked out the Montjuic Castle and then the Montjuic Cemetery which was like a small city for the departed. Instead of being buried the coffins are inserted into small apartment buildings for the dead. The place was huge and even had street names, avenues and bus stops. It was very strange and eerie because I was the only one in sight.
Hopefully tomorrow I can do the day trip before I leave for Italy. If the bus driver says no again I’m just going to walk on and sit my arse down.
