Day 35
Its all about the Cheese in Holland. This is the weekly cheese market, display, routine thingy that happens every week in Hoorn (about 45 mins out of Amsterdam). This is played out every week with a group of retirees acting out how the old cheese market used to work here. I know this, because it was explained…
Day 34
This is the “garden” at the Cannabis College, Amsterdam. I spent today exploring Amsterdam more throughly. Checked out the famous coffee shops, famous red light district, its winding canals, churches and museums. Its all pretty strange, but the thing about Amsterdam that I was surprised by more than the red lights and smokey shops was how the city…
Day 33
Amsterdam! This post is slightly late again due to the following. 1. 11 hour bus ride. 2. Getting lost trying to follow the hostels instructions. 3. Continuing to be lost because the hostel’s name has actually changed. 4. Tram ticket only lasting one hour . 5. Going for a huge walk and getting totally lost……
Day 32
London Street Art! Today was my last full day in London. Its been pretty amazing. I never really had much interest in the UK at all growing up, which I think was something to do with the dreary weather, but London is so lively, what it lacks in sunlight is makes up for in other…
Day 31
So after a great night out, Sunday unfortunately kicked us in the face with a hangover. Tascha and I didn’t end up getting mobilised and eating breakfast until about 1.30pm. Afterwards we went to the Brick Lane Sunday market and somehow Tascha continued eating all day long. Breakfast (at lunchtime), Second market breakfast-lunch, lunch-dessert, afternoon…

Today I spent a lovely day sitting at a train station waiting for my friend Tascha who is also coming to stay with my couchsurfing host. It was great! I read a bunch of my book. Luckily im really into my book, otherwise I would be angry at loveable Tascha. Before I spent most of my…
Day 28
After a lazy, half hungover morning I managed to make it out of the house and spend the afternoon wandering the lanes, car parks and streets of Shoreditch to appreciate some street art. I found a rad little market/artspace/venue/bar which I am going to go back to and check out with my friend Tasch tomorrow arvo. I…
Day 27
This is my current London Couchsurfing host Anthony. He enjoys fixing things, making cocktails, organic farming, creating sculptures, drinking tea, dancing on trees, chilling out, playing music and making films such as we did today in the park. Probably the most Zen guy I have ever met.
Day 26
Cocktail experiments! my couchsurfing host is trying to create his own sustainable/environmentally friendly cocktails which means not being able to use Lemons or limes as they are all imported from south America to the UK. And yes, drills and duct tape are very important when creating cocktails. Still waiting for my charger so this was…
