Day 325
Today I didn’t really explore Montreal, instead I geeked out and made a trip to the outer suburbs of Montreal to pick up myself a Leap Motion! I have been waiting to get my hands on one of these little babies for about 18 months since I first heard about it being developed. The leap…
Day 324
I saw off my buddy Bridget today before heading out for a massive walk around Montreal, sans Braeboy as he had to work. I made my way along the old port and tried to find an entrance to some old abandoned buildings along the port before trying to make it to Habitat 67, I failed at…
Day 323
The biosphere, Montreal, Canada. Today also consisted of street art, more beers and more poutines.
Day 322
Braeboy took me on a romantic walk around the snow covered Mount Royal Park where we spotted some Squirrels, two Racoons, two excitable puppies, a woodpecker and then built a snowman under a giant cross. Brae then bravely fought back this rabbit wolf with a stick. It was just like The Grey.
Day 321
Obviously the best use of snow at Brae’s house, Montreal, Canada. Also Poutine is pretty tits.
Day 320
Sami! I met up with my old buddy Sami today in Kensington. Sami couch surfed with us in Melbourne about 3 years ago and although originally from Toronto, she is usually off galavanting somewhere close to the ocean teaching people to Dive. Coincidentally she happened to return to Toronto a couple of days before I…
Day 319
Yay Beer! Any city that has an area called the “distillery District” goes alright by me, and I mean “alright” in an Australian way, not a Canadian way. The distillery district is a national historic site of Canada and comprises of more than 40 amazing old buildings and 10 streets over several blocks just to…
Day 318
Bridget and her sister took me on a field trip to see the famous Niagara Falls today. The falls were huge and spectacular and because of the late winter there was still heaps of snow and ice gathered around the base of top of the falls which I thought was pretty cool. However Bridget is probably…
Day 317
PILLOW FIGHT! The annual pillow fight took place today in front of the Toronto UFO Docking station (also known as the city hall) with a Superhero theme. It was a bit too cold for me to dress in anything like a costume or Pyjamas and join in so I just stood back and took some…
Day 316
Last night Bridget picked me up from the Toronto Airport when I finally arrived. Bridget and I met in Lisbon way at the start of this trip 263 days ago and we are crashing with one of her friends in Toronto for a few days before heading to Montreal. We went out for some drinks…
